We hosted our very first Volunteer Fair at Dana Hills High School on Tuesday, November 9th 2021 during lunch!
The Dana Point Times was also kind enough to come out to the event and to write an article about it in the paper! You can read the article at this link: https://www.danapointtimes.com/dana-hills-junior-engages-students-volunteer-opportunities-2/
I am so proud of how everything came together and grateful for the support of my advisors, Mrs. Coppola and Mrs. Jamet, for guiding me throughout this project and for my friends who stepped up to help at various points in the journey.
We had two community organizations who were able to send adult representatives, Goods & Goats and ZeroTrash Dana Point. We also had two community organizations represented by student-led clubs on the campus, American Red Cross and Surfrider Foundation. Other organizations who could not send representatives in person but who wanted to participate in the event included: MathMania Robotics, Laura's House, the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce, and Stand Up to Trash. We represented various other community service organizations as well by creating poster boards with descriptions of each organization, links to their websites, and graphics.
